Entering Melville Motor Club Ltd. Moto-x Events
Enteries for Melville Motor Club events should be done in the following way.

Moto X

Unlike the Road Race side of Motorcycle Sport, you do not need a competition licence to compete in off road events, however from the 1st January 2006, a Day Licence, which would allow you to compete for that day only, will now cost £20.

It soon becomes economical, if you decided the Sport is for you, to buy a competition licence costing £40 and valid for 13 months (January to January 31st the following year) compared with the £20 each event.

The Melville Winter Series run at Lochhouses provides competition on a field based track - there are no big jumps, the track being suitable from 65's up to Adults, and Quads.

Get Your Bike Race Prepared!

Make sure bikes have numbers on the front and both sides, and quads back and front. Clean them between races, if the lap scorers can't read your number, you can't expect to be in the results.

Advice from one of our scrutineers - things to check before you leave home, save yourself valuable time on race day:-

•   No loose wheel spokes;

•   No worn wheel bearings;

•   No loose swinging arms;

•   No loose head stock bearings;

•   Have left and right steering positive stops (not the fuel tank!!);

•   Have working front and rear brakes;

•   Foot rests are 'spring return';

•   Have positive throttle closing;

•   Brake and Clutch levers must have ball ends;

•   Remember your numbers as above are fitted and secured.

Please make sure your numbers are CLEAR, preferably front and back, and wear a bib, T-shirt, Vest with your number on it.
