(SACU Championship Class) |
A motorcycle with a four-stroke engine of between 500 and 600 cc with four-cylinders, 600 to 675cc three cylinder machines and 650 to 750 cc twin-cylinder machines.
Standard engine, brakes with a race exhaust and modified suspension. To comply with MSVR regulations (Exceptions no control tyre or age limit) |

As per SACU Rules, up to 1200cc carburetted, 1000cc fuel injected. |
| Sidecar Formula 2 | As per SACU Rules, 350cc two stroke, 600cc four stroke. |

| Formula Melville | As per SACU Scottish Superbikes. Cup contenders eligibility only.

| Minitwins | Any four stroke motorcycle originally sold for road use with a water cooled engine up to 650cc or an air cooled engine up to 820cc provided it has less than 72 SAE horsepower. |
| Formula 400 | 400cc four strokes and 250cc two strokes, production based, as per ACU handbook for formula specifications. |
| Pre-injection 600 | Any carburetted up to 600cc four stroke. |
| Pre-injection 1200 | Any carburetted four stroke exceeding 600cc. |
| F125 | 125cc production based, as per ACU handbook for formula specifications |
| Grand Prix 125 | 125cc single cylinder two strokes as used in Grand Prix racing. |
| Classics | In accordance with CRMC rules |
| Post classics | Pre 1988 as Post Classic Championship rules. |
